Accreditation & Qualifications
At A.R.S, we hold the necessary licences and qualifications to ensure safe, compliant asbestos removal. There are two types of asbestos removal licences in New Zealand—Class A and Class B—which depend on the type and quantity of asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) being removed.
Class A Licence
A Class A licence allows the removal of any type or quantity of asbestos or ACM, including:
Any amount of friable asbestos (easily crumbled)
Any amount of asbestos-containing dust (ACD)
Any amount of non-friable asbestos (bonded in materials like cement)
Class B Licence
A Class B licence covers the removal of:
Any amount of non-friable asbestos or ACM
ACD associated with removing non-friable asbestos or ACM
No Licence Required
In some cases, no licence is required for:
Up to 10 m² of non-friable asbestos or ACM removed from a site over the course of the project
ACD associated with removing 10 m² or less of non-friable asbestos or ACM
Minor contamination of asbestos or ACM that is not related to friable or non-friable removal
As a licensed and experienced asbestos removal company, we ensure all projects are completed to the highest safety standards, in line with legal requirements.
